Very historical place. You must check out the view.

Great history, college was burned during the Civil war.

I used to serve on the board here. Tons of information on the local areas history as well as the civil war. This was the original site of what is now the University of North Alabama. Lagrange was the first chartered college in the state of Alabama, it later became a military college before being burned to the ground by General Cornin's Burning Angels. Be sure to visit the cemetery on up the road. The original charter members of the Historical Association worked very hard to reclaim it. It features a very large tombstone carved from solid marble for Mr. Ricks.

The view was amazing

This place is beautiful. High on top of mountain. Plan to return on Sunday. Open from 1:00 to 4:00.
